Rojina is 11 years old, in Class Four, and is thankful for teachers. She is fairly reserved but very smart and direct. She prefers not to initiate but instead answers only when spoken to. Once she gets to know you she turns out to be an incredibly vocal student, and will surprise you with excellent English. She will slip a catching smile when amused, before scurrying away.
Rojina has been at the hostel for five years. She has two younger brothers and both of her parents are farmers. Her favorite color is light blue, her favorite animal is a cow because it is the national animal and provides milk, and her favorite activities are dancing, reading and playing games.
She wants to be a Social Studies teacher in the future because her favorite subject is Social Studies. Her least favorite subject is Science because it is hard for her. Her best subject is Nepali but she wants to learn more English.
Rojina appreciates the hostel for giving her opportunities to participate in activities such as reading, dancing and studying. She wishes that the hostel can develop a library and provide more books and teachers. When volunteers come to visit she wants to learn more Math, English, and Social Studies from them, and in turn, she would like to teach Nepali language and dance to the volunteers.
