Nakarali is seven years old, in Nursery Class and from the village of Ripa. She is quiet but always engaged, ever excited to get called on in class. She tends to roam around and watch from afar, never truly participating in an activity but always making sure she is up front and center, watching and learning.
She has been at the hostel for eight months. Her father passed away and her mother remarried and abandoned Narakali and her two younger brothers to live by themselves. Currently one of Narakali’s brothers is in school in Kathmandu and the other resides with her mother while Narakali is in school at the hostel.
Her favorite color is white, her favorite animal is a cow, and her favorite activity is dancing. She enjoys English and wants to grow up to be an English teacher.
